In 2015 – I choose to lead the way – In my home. At my office. And, in my community. Not just on #RAOK724 – But, every day. Join me. Help me find a way to continue making a difference.
This fall I’ve accepted a unanimous election to the Board of the The American Diabetes Association. As my first task on the Board – I was honored to assume the role of emcee & master of ceremonies for the ADA’s Step Out Walk 2015 – a tremendous event raising thousands of dollars & an incredible degree of awareness on behalf of the effort fight & find a cure for the scariest, most underfunded disease in the United States. A big THANK YOU to the 100’s volunteers & runners – On a beautiful, but chilly West Michigan morning – We made a tangible impact!
Bundled from head to toe – I’m incredibly proud to lead & work alongside a host of individuals who believe in community stewardship & paying it forward first. This past month we shut down the office, threw on our work boots, grabbed our shovels & invested Friday to ensure the parks of West Michigan were a little cleaner & more conducive to future sustainability of the native flora. #dayofgiving #pfgfamily #bethechange
In my commercial kitchen. The head chef wears sunglasses, kicks ass, occasionally takes names, BBQs like a boss, tells sweet jokes & gets down with the best prep crew in the business. I was thrilled to have been asked by the Grand Rapids Police Department to serve their finest – More than a 100 officers, our brave men & women in Blue. We designed, prepared & served a special 5-star, 3-course Fresh Coast-inspired, smoke-infused menu. I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard in kitchen – left physically exhausted, but emotionally lifted.
