Mango and Key Lime Man-Garita

  • 4 cups ripe mangos cubed
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1 cup orange liqueur Grand Mariner or Triple Sec
  • 3 tablespoons Rose's Lime Juice
  • 2 tablespoons wildflower honey
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • Ice crushed
  • Sea salt for the glass rim
  • Key Lime wedges to garnish
  • 2 Mexican beers in the bottle


  • In a blender add mangos, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, honey, simple syrup, and ice. Pulse together, then puree. Add ice to thicken, as needed. Moisten rim of mugs with a fresh lime, then dip in a bed of sea salt. Add lime wedges to bottom of the mug then pour in pureed frozen mango margarita mix until mug is 3/4 full. Take one or two big swigs of beer, then carefully turn the bottle upside down into the margarita. Magically (well... due in part to science) the Mango Man-Grita will stop filling once it reaches the brim of the mug. Serve immediately. ¡Aclamaciones!
