Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pints fresh strawberries chopped
  • 1 pint heirloom cherry tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves chopped, loosely packed
  • 2-3 shallots diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1-2 jalapenos seeded, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • Juice and zest of 1 lime
  • Kosher salt and fresh ground peppercorn to taste

Instructions

  • Toss all prepared ingredients in large bowl. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Strain liquid. Season to taste. Serve with tortilla or pita chips.
